Moldova is the largest #wine-growing region in #Romania and one of the largest in #Europe. The nine vineyards and the eight independent wine-growing centres occupy the predominantly hilly-hilly area between the Subcarpathians of Moldavia, the curving Carpathians, the Prut valley and the lower Siret valley. Moldova's vineyards produce a wide range of wine products, from still and sparkling wines to ageing wines.

Nestled in Romania’s northeastern countryside, Averești Viticulture Center
thrives in the Husi vineyard’s sun-kissed lands.
Here, viticulture has flourished for millennia, enriched by the ancient
Cucuteni culture (5800 – 2750 BC).
Historical records and the pioneering efforts of boyar Stefan Negruzzi and the
talented French oenologist René Faure in the 19th century laid the groundwork
for our vineyard’s modern evolution, reviving native grapes and introducing
esteemed varieties. The credit for the rebirth of ancient
Romanian varieties, Zghihara and Busuioaca, as well as the introduction
of the French varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet or Aligote is due to the
Frenchman. The efforts of the two are rewarded in
1900, when Avereşti Domains became the most modern vineyard of Romania,
competing head to head with the best French domains.
Featuring the esteemed #Busuioca de Bohotin, #Zghihara de Husi, #Feteasca Neagra, and #Feteasca Regala, the Spectrum Selection invites you to savor the authentic taste of Romanian
winemaking excellence.
